Have you heard? The Green Heart Project is celebrating 10 years of Farm to School education in Charleston. In these times of crisis, we realize that food is the MOST essential thing in our lives, and we feel more inspired than ever to continue providing hands-on, outdoor education about healthy food to students in our community.

So, here is your chance to get involved and support Green Heart's mission.

We are excited to announce a SAFE approach to our 10th Anniversary Harvest Dinner at Mitchell Elementary School on Thursday, May 21st! Though we will not be gathering as usual in the park, we will offer curbside, drive-through pickup of delicious BBQ dinners to-go, and bags of fresh fruits & vegetables for our Green Heart Families.

Tickets, which benefit The Green Heart Project's Farm to School programs, must be purchased in advance using this online form. There are also options to "pay it forward" by purchasing a meal for one of our students or their family members, who eat free, or to make a donation directly to The Green Heart Project.

Members of the public can pick up their dinners from Mitchell Elementary (2 Perry Street) between 6-8pm on Thursday May 21st. *Green Heart Students and Families will use a separate order form, and will pick up between 3:30-6:15pm

The day of the event, make sure to tune in to our Facebook page for live updates & videos celebrating our Green Heart students, volunteers, and partners. Content will include: live music, cooking demos, a tour of our Mitchell gardens and urban farm, reflections from present & past Green Heart buddies, and a sneak peek of the new Urban Farm at Enston Home, currently under construction! Join us live between 5:30-7pm on Thursday May 21st.
