Green Heart 10-year report
Green Heart Family:
During the past fiscal year (2019-2020), we celebrated Green Heart’s 10-year anniversary. We have come a long way since a group of neighborhood volunteers and a 3rd grade class built a school garden outside of Mitchell Elementary School in 2009. We now work with 13 school partners across the Charleston area and we have built a new Urban Farm headquarters for engaging community members of all ages. We created this report to celebrate our 10-year milestone and reflect upon what we have accomplished together over the past decade. Of course, none of this would be possible without you! It takes a broad base of community support to make these projects possible. Please consider making an end of year gift to The Green Heart Project to help us grow into 2021 and beyond.
Thank you for doing your part to promote a healthier future for Charleston, whether you have participated in Green Heart programs, volunteered, donated financially, or simply cheered us on. We hope you enjoy reading the report, and we look forward to working with you over the next 10 years!
Sincerely,
Jesse Blom
