Recap and Wrap Up of Harvest Dinner 2020

Our 10th Anniversary Dinner was certainly one to remember, though it looked quite different from our traditional celebration. We shifted from our usual gathering in the park, to a drive-through dinner at our flagship partner school, Michell Elementary. Raising over $22,000 dollars from ticket sales and sponsorships, we served over 750 meals to our students, their families and the greater Charleston community throughout the celebration. In partnership with CCSD Nutrition Services we also distributed ~700 bags of fresh produce to students and families in the community????

Perhaps the most fulfilling was seeing the smiling faces  of everyone who came through the drive-through and walk-up lines, demonstrating the resilience and contagious energy of our community even in the face of a global pandemic. We even found ways to celebrate a few of our Green Heart Buddy Award winners as they drove through to pick up their meals and their buddy awards!

Our {green} hearts are filled to the brim from the outpouring of love and support we received both in the planning and execution of this year’s event. And a special SHOUTOUT to this year’s amazing sponsors who stepped up to the plate to support the event despite the challenges facing our community and our world.
