A Note from The Executive Director on Gratitude

There is much to be grateful for this season at The Green Heart Project.

We are grateful for the Fall harvest coming in at the Urban Farm and in our school gardens, including broccoli, collard greens, carrots, cabbage, mustard, and citrus.

We are grateful for our school partners, and their students and staff who make our Farm to School programs possible.

We are grateful for our neighbors, who welcome us to the farm space, and support us through buying produce, sharing their varied talents, and providing a watchful eye over our crops.

We are grateful for our talented and dedicated staff team, who put in hours upon hours of hard work, tending to gardens, preparing and teaching lessons to students, and doing the unsung work behind the scenes.

We are grateful for our volunteers, who give their precious time to engage with students, pull weeds in the gardens, and throw events for supporters.

We are grateful for our donors, who give generously in support of our mission to Grow Minds and Grow Community through Growing Food.

We were reminded recently at our 3rd Annual Farm to Table Dinner, of the abundance that we can generate together when we all pitch in our efforts, our talent, and our resources for a common cause.

I look forward to working with the entire Green Heart Community in the year ahead to keep advancing our mission, together. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
